Areas Served

Advisory Council for the Youth of Mineola, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization serving the communities of Mineola, Williston Park, East Williston, Garden City Park, Alberston, Roslyn Heights, New Hyde Park, and Carle Place. Program activites and workshops are conducted at the agency, local schools, and community facilities. A decentralized approacj enables us to reach many different groups each according to their own specific needs.

Organization

A volunteer board board of directors consisting of concerned community residents provides policy making decisions and is responsible for the actions and operations of the agency. The Executive Director who is assisted by professional staff, is responsible for the daily operation of the program.

Youth Participation is an integral part of programming activities. Volunteers and interns assist in carrying out the mission of the agency. The agency is also invloved in community and school outreach, and fundraising.
